Lynda Mullaly Hunt Surprises Us with a Visit!

On Friday, April 10 we were so lucky to get a surprise visit from Lynda Mullaly Hunt, author of One for the Murphys and Fish in a Tree. Because she is such a good  friend and LOVES to come into schools to meet students, she planned to surprise us by popping in while she was in Maine. The students gasped and covered their mouths in surprise as they began to realize who she was.

During her visit, she signed books, gave out bracelets and talked to the class about writing, reading and her own learning story. She left us gifts of two signed hardcover Fish in a Tree books and a copy of the new audio! They were starstruck and thrilled to meet a real, live author!

Ms. Tibbitts loved Fish in a Tree and was so excited to meet Lynda in person!

It was such an exciting time. There was only one thing missing....Mrs. McAllister!! Mrs. M was at USM interviewing prospective interns for the ETEP program on Friday and missed the whole thing.  She was so disappointed when she found out about the visit, but was excited for her students. Even though she was able to see Lynda at the Cape Elizabeth author event, she will never forgive herself for missing this very special surprise.
We would like to thank Lynda Mullaly Hunt for taking the time to come and meet us. It was a day that we will always remember.
