Vacation Reading and New Year's Reading Resolutions

Since readers make plans and share their reading lives, this week the students made New Year's Reading Resolutions for 2016 and planned for vacation reading.

The students should be bringing home a copy of their New Year's Reading Resolutions. If not, they will finish after the break. Please post these up at home and help your child reflect and refine their resolutions as necessary. We will be reflecting at school as well.

I have set up a Padlet wall for our classes to post what they have been reading, books they received as gifts and reactions to what they are reading if they would like to over the break. I will be posting my reading as well. Click here for the link.

Happy Holidays and Happy Reading!!

Parent Readers!

November was Picture Book Month. We read tons of great picture books at school and several parents were able to come in and read too!

Here are just a few of the books we read.

I would like to thank the parents that were able to come in and read to the class. The students and I enjoyed it very much!

Examining Maine Maps

Students in Mrs. McAllister's class had a bit of time this week to examine Maine maps.
