One Dead Spy is set during The American Revolution. It is the mostly true story of Nathan Hale who was a spy for the Patriots. We liked the graphic novel format. We also liked all of the real events such as the Boston Massacre and The Boston Tea Party that we already learned about.
Some of the men in the book were brave because they dived into freezing cold water in the winter to get a canon.
Nathan was not the best spy, but we will let you read the book to find out why.
If you like books with action, adventure, history and you like graphic novels, you might like One Dead Spy and the other books in the Nathan Hale's Hazardous Tales series.

Imagine you are a girl who has to dress like a man to join the army and go to war.
Well that’s what Deborah had to do.
The Secret Soldier is a historical fiction book that tells of Deborah’s adventures during the American Revolution. She wanted to fight for her country, but women were not allowed to join the army. So she disguised herself as a man and fought for the Patriots. She was a good soldier.
